different between writing fiction and non-fiction. Writing fiction is probably
the easiest writing because you can write based on any thing that comes from
your imagination and there is no need to proof or verify the story against the
fact. Vice versa, non-fiction need time and dedication to write as it’s
requires proof and verify against the fact and sometime the check with other
reference materials.

, interviews, experiences and opinion. Sometimes you may find an
excellent theme of your new non-fiction by looking around you home or from your
favourite book store, then you can see a writing opportunity on book shelf.

Magazines are also the best information source to have
new ideas. I personally have subscribed to almost 20 magazines. They are mix of
topics of magazines, which are vary form professional magazines, for example
"The Writer,"
"Saveur" and "Society of Professional Journalists".

Not only professional magazines
that you have to looking for as an information source, some other kind of
magazine are also interesting, actually more interesting in my point of view,
they are magazines for hobbies and fun such as "Disney's Adventures"
and "YM," "Family Handyman," Golf Digest,"
"AARP," and "Money." These are all national magazines, cream
of the crop and are harder to break into than smaller markets.

Travel
around is also a god opportunity to get new ideas, no matter it is a short
plane trip or long vacation like you have to take a flight across the country.
You may have opportunity to see new things and take some notes then you can use
it when you back home. Getting some new ideas from travel magazines or travel
brochures and publications from airport stand or in a hotel also possible. The
benefit of getting new ideas from these kind of publication is they are
available for free, you do not to buy or subscribe like any other publication.

Good
non-fiction writers has habit to always collect publication whenever they have
a chance and they can even develop the idea and write story when they are at
the location of travel and this is a very good example of what good writers
should have.
