Job Hunting.

One of the hardest things to do for some people is to find a job after you have been working for a long time then your job comes to an end.

I have worked for Jobcentre plus for about 15 years now as an adviser.  I have helped many people to find a job and to give them direction.

So what is it all about then????

This guide will only give you some tips on how to get started in the raw world of the labour market.

Step 1.  Believe in your self that you can find a job do not get compliance.

Step2.  COFIDENCE CONFIDENCE CONFIDENCE-  you know what I mean by that.

Step3.  Research the organization thoroughly and think about what questions you can ask in the interview—this is very important.

Step4.  if applying by application form make sure you photocopy it first then input it onto to the original.. and  ALSO KEEP A COPY BECAUSE THE NEXT TIME YOU NEED TO COMPLETE AN APPLICATION FORM YOU HAVE ONE ALREADY COMPLETED SO IT IS JUST A COPYING EXERCISE.

The reason why step 4 was in cap’s is because so many people that I know cant be asked filling in application forms, they tell me it is repetitive or the forgot what they have done.  So by having a copy it will be handy.

Step5.  Always send a c.v with a covering letter, make it factual to the point.

Step6.  Thinking of re-training.. Well you need to! the more skills you have the better.

Step7. Keep asking friends or old employers consistently.

Step8. Travel outside your normal area of living makes a massive difference.  GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE.

Step9.  practice mock interviews all the time it will give you charisma and also confidence.

Step 10. think about what a job means—e.g money, being social, happiness, power, bring up a family.  Ask your self question do you really want to have handouts or would you like to earn and give handouts to your family.

You see me working in the Job centre made me how luck I was having a job.  And also the people I saw really wanted help.

I thought I would share some of this with you and hope it makes a difference.
