An appropriate use of mobile and wireless technology
has given birth to Mobile Ticketing. It is
the latest and the most convenient way of purchasing tickets. Consumers no
longer have to wait in long queues for buying tickets of movies, concerts,
trains, planes or any football or soccer matches. In traditional method, paper
tickets were having few disadvantages; like difficulty in receiving tickets at
proper time; high cost of delivery of tickets through registered mails;
worrying about loosing the tickets.
Mobi-tickets or mobile ticketing freed you from these
above disadvantages. Within a short span of time, you’ll receive your
mobi-tickets into your mobile set. Mobi-tickets are
unique electronic barcodes which are sent to the buyers via SMS, MMS or EMS. Then the tickets are redeemed at the venue by simply
scanning the mobile phone displayed with barcodes with a standard scanner.

for scanning barcodes of the mobi-ticket.
Mobile ticketing are having quite a number of advantages, like, they are cheaper than
paper tickets which has a cost of printing and then posting those tickets to
the consumers. Thus, it reduces the delivery and operational cost. The
distribution of tickets can be absolutely guaranteed and it is done instantly.
Since the consumers are not concerned about delivery of tickets, so they are
more interested to buy them. As a result, there is a huge increase in the sale
of tickets. There is no need to be worried about loosing mobi-tickets, since
they are not just like traditional paper tickets which can be misplaced anytime
anywhere. Consumers had even found it quite helpful, since, there is no need to
queue up at the counters for collecting paper tickets. Unlike paper tickets,
mobi-tickets can be cancelled if necessary and can even be re-issued
effortlessly with the prior advantages of security and versatility. Finally
organizers can properly track attendance at an event automatically and in real
time.
